O WYDARZENIU
W dniach 12-15 czerwca 2024 r. odbędzie się w Katowicach EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) – unikatowa konferencja poświęcona eksploracji związków pomiędzy nauką a społeczeństwem. Głównym wydarzeniem towarzyszącym konferencji będą Europejskie Targi Talentów (EU Talent Fair).

EU Talent Fair to wyjątkowe targi inspiracji. To przestrzeń, gdzie student będzie mógł:

• zdobyć nową wiedzę od doświadczonych ekspertów;
• poznać innowacyjne ścieżki rozwoju kariery dla młodych ludzi, które oferuje świat nauki;
• rozwinąć swoje umiejętności, biorąc udział w wybranych warsztatach i seminariach.

Obie sesje Mindfulness poprowadzi Patrick Kozakiewicz [Kyndryl].

This Introducing Mindfulness interactive and experiential sessions will offer the crowd a brief taste of mindfulness practice and theory in a format intended to be accessible to anyone new or experienced to mindfulness.  These sessions are designed for anyone interested in exploring some key mindfulness themes and practices in ways that might support them personally, in everyday life and work.

Session 1: We will get a first-hand experience of the mind’s natural tendency to be scattered and to wander.  We will then train our attention to create choices about where and how we place attention, and how this can fundamentally shape our experience. There will be three main practices explored.

Session 2: Here we will explore different ways of being and knowing; recognising how much of our experience is shaped by thought. In addition to exploring the difference between being and doing and how we can learn to use them to gain perspective and help us flourish over time. There will be three main practices explored.

In the world of changes related to digitalisation, modern technologies, and finally the work of humans with robots - it is worth talking about competence challenges, especially related to the recruitment of young people. As part of the Panel, Human Resources Experts from companies related to the automotive and modern technology sectors and representatives of the TalentHUB Initiative conducted with the support of the Silesian University of Technology and the Silesia Automotive & Advanced Manufacturing Cluster will talk about trends related to the development of skills and competences, as well as changes related to employment and recruitment processes, including the use of artificial intelligence and the significant participation of today's social media.

Panelists will pay attention to the challenges related to the development of technical skills, but also personal competences. Experts will also talk about newly created job positions, overcoming barriers and stereotypes, as well as coping with the overwhelming digitisation and automation of work and business processes.
